- The last two school districts I've worked in have these "scream rooms." They are normally padded and reserved for special education students, but they have them. My bigger concern is if students are so out of control that schools need these rooms, why are they allowed the rest of the kids?

- I read stories like this and just get angry. Today in 2011 a person won't sit next to someone because they are a "person of size." It just sounds like the 1950s when a white person wouldn't sit next to a "person of color." It's the same ignorance and intolerance, just with a new target.

- I was diagnosed and taught that SAD stood for, "social anxiety disorder." SAD makes it difficult for me to be around other people. This time of year makes it especially because of all the social engagements around Christmas. Does anyone know what this disorder is now called?

- As these guys found out, there is a big difference between a grizzly and a black bear. That hunter identification program in the article isn't just an environmental thing. It's also for the hunters' safety. A grizzly is far more powerful and aggressive.
